DIY: Crystal Vine Design

I was inspired by Sis Che's creativity that's why I tried to create a simple design for my candle. It's my first time  and my only tool is the ordinary long nose you can find in a hardware store. I bought my beads from Carolina's shop at Market Market. I went there without the knowledge which type of wire to use and the beads. I accidentally bought 2 Swarovski bead necklaces for Php100 each and a seed bead for Php35. The wire costs Php60 per 1 roll.

My Package from PrincessWeds

I just received my package. Lets unpack it..

Florist and Reception Stylist

I've known Amaranthus Event Stylist thru my friend Alma. She referred me to her AE named Mr. Renante Tutop, Ren for short. Alma suggested him because he did a great job on her wedding last February 2010 at the Glass Garden. The entourage flowers and the overall design of her wedding reception is enchantingly beautiful.

Meeting with Emil Ocampo

Last Saturday, June 11, I had an appointment with Emil Ocampo. I and my bf went straight to his shop at Alvarez Street after my blood extraction procedure in a medical center in Taguig.  His shop is near BDO bank near LRT- Bangbang station. As I knocked on his shop's door, I felt nervous.. I don't know why.. maybe I'm just stressed at work.. excuses.. hahaha! His warm welcome  made me feel comfortable. We talked about my bridal gown inspirations and he did a sketched for me and my bf's suit. He also explained  which design is best, the details such as the color, the trail, and many more. He showed me and my bf fabric swatches. He also shared to me ideas regarding hotel preps and suggested a HMU supplier coz I told him I still don't have a HMU supplier.  Also, that day  he took my body measurement.. I know it's early but it is ok, I know he has a lot of clients for December. My first fitting is will be on Sept. 3.. I'm excited.. I need to go on a diet.. I gain...

Sounds and Lights Supplier

Finally, I already have a sounds and lights supplier.. Blue note. I learned blue note from Kuya Robin. He told me to contact Marlon, my bf and kuya robin's cousin. To cut the long story short, I chose their package 4  worth 7,000 and bubble machine as freebie.   Thanks kuya Robin and Marlon for helping! :) Cheers,

Angry Birds Level 5-17 Cleared!!!!

Another level cleared.. wooooot! This level is much easier.  You just need to target the first porky. After hitting it, you must aim to hit the 2 woods in the middle. See below photo.. Hope my idea helps. Enjoy playing angry birds! :) Cheers,

Angry Birds Level 5-16 Cleared!!!!

At long last, after numerous attempts I was able to clear this level... woooooootttt!!!! What I did is to hit the side of the very top pile of stones. As I saw the stones fly unto the porkies, I was amazed it hit most of the porkies leaving  2 porkies behind.. porky with helmet and  1 porky in the middle. Next, my target is the 2nd to the top pile of stones but I missed it. Instead, the bomb bird flew away, heading its direction between the 2 porkies. I'm so lucky!!!!  I got 2 stars.. not bad. :) Cheers,

Bridal Gown Maker and Photo-Video Suppliers: Done booking!

Last April 15, I decided to book Emil Ocampo  to be my bridal gown supplier. I called him on his shop and I was happy he remembered me. He said to me "Ikaw un ka-facebook ko." in a happy tone. He blocked the date for my wedding and we set the schedule of our meeting.Describing him based on our phone conversation, he's soft spoken, friendly and easy to talk to. I'm looking forward to meet him in person. :) A while ago, me and bf went to Megamall to attend the bridal fair. Our agenda is to book Nice Print . First, we scout for possible photo and video suppliers before we went to Nice Print's stall. When we passed by at Nice Print, Ms. Bien, our AE, approached me cheerfully and invited me to check out their sample albums. She also discussed the packages and offered me a lot of freebies. After a detailed discussion with her, we finally chose the Superior package with wonderful freebies. We paid Php10,000 as down-payment. A contract and receipt is  given to me. All th...

Photo and Video Supplier

After doing my numerous research, email inquiries and getting 1st hand feed backs for possible photo and video suppliers, I'm finally decided.. I chose Nice Print. I will book them this coming bridal fair event April 15 to 17 at the Megatrade Hall. Hope they can accommodate my day. Cheers,

Bridal and Entourage Gown Maker

I've been scouting for several gown makers but only 2 has responded.. tsk tsk. The first one was referred to me by my friend Alreen. I like him because he really respond to my inquiries via email. He's very accommodating based on my conversation with him. The other one is referred by Ate Avic. The labor service she gave for my entourage is really affordable for a budgeted bride like me.  I'll be attending another bridal fair this coming weekend, I will try to scout for other gown suppliers to compare their works and prices. But the gown makers that I mentioned are on my top of the list. I'm planning to contact them by Friday to set an appointment. Hope all works well.  Cheers,

Dragon Gate Seafood Restaurant

Yesterday, April 10, 2011, we went to Dragon Gate Seafood Restaurant at Roxas Blvd. to plan the menu on our wedding. Kuya Robin and Ate Christine helped me and my bf to decide which foods are OK and would fit our budget. Our AE, Lando, is very helpful, he gave suggestions and floor plan printout of the 2nd floor. By the way, we chose Dragon Gate Seafood Restaurant because this is one of the favorite restaurants of my bf's family and relatives. I guarantee that all foods are Yummy!  The photo below is taken last March 27,  when we were supposed to reserve the place. But we were suprised that Kuya Robin reserved it last March 2. Thanks Kuya Robin and Ate Christine for helping us out. Cheers,

Movie Night: Rio in 3D

I had fun watching Rio with my teammates at Greenbelt 3 a while ago. The movie is only available in 3D. It cost Php300 per head. I thought Rio is the name of the blue macaw bird but it's not. Rio is taken from Rio de Janeiro a place from Brazil.  The film Rio is a comedy/adventure/ love story between two rare macaw birds. Blu is the main character, who lives with Linda (his master) at Minnesota. Blu believes that he is the last of his kind. The adventure starts when Blu and Linda flew to Brazil to meet the other macaw bird named Jewel. Don't worry, I am not going to tell the story. My short review for this movie, Rio is a heartwarming movie with bright/colorful characters in a  beautiful settings of Brazil's rain forests.  This is w orth watching in 3D. Cheers,

Angry Birds Level 5-16: Stuck Again

Waaaaaaahhhh! I'm stuck again!!! Level 5-16 why you're so damn hard! Cheers,

Angry Birds Level 5-12

Currently, I'm addicted in playing Angry Birds in my lappy.  I am still stuck in level 5-12 since last week. I find it hard to pass this level. I'm so desperate to finish it.. uhmmm.. i just exagerrate my words..ahahaha!  Anyhow, I played again a while ago and I'm so lucky to kill all the porkies.. woooot! Finally, I got a chance to move on to the next level. I got a 1 star.. wink!  Level 5-12 is very hard. Cheers,

Another Bridal Fair this coming April 15 to 17

While browsing the internet for my wedding project, I check Kasal.com  if there's a schedule of bridal fair for the month of April. And there's one: Princess and Brides - Debut and Bridal Fair presented by Events Unlimited. The event scheduled is on April 15, 16 and 17 at the Megatrade Hall1 at SM Megamall. I will mark these dates on my calendar. There's a lot of things that need to be settled on my Wedding project list. Cheers,

My Motif Inspirations

I just want to share the motif that I want. I wanted turquoise to be my color motif. Below are the photos of my inspirations. Do you find it pretty?   Cheers,

My first ever Bridal Fair

Last March 13, 2011, it was my first time to attend a Bridal Fair event. The event is sponsored by Themes and Motifs . Our agenda is to scout for a possible reception supplier. I brought a canvass bag for the brochures and paper fliers that will be given by different suppliers. It was a great experience. The following photos are the gifts we got from the event. Cheers,

The Wedding Church

Finally, after several scouting, we already have a church - the  Archdiocesan Shrine of Jesus, The Way, The Truth & The Life located near SMX of Mall of Asia in Pasay City.  Thanks to my dear friend Duday for helping me out. It was so hard to find a slot for December 11. Most of the churches we visited including this church were fully booked. Last February 26, 2011, I called the Shrine if there's an available slot and there was, the date is December 17. We went back to pencil book the date and we were so lucky that there's an available slot for December 11 so we booked it on the spot. I'm happy w e have met the two criteria i mentioned on my previous post. photo images credits to: http://shotnroll.com/2009/08/comin-home/ We went back to the church last March 4, 2011 for the reservation payment. We paid a 50% of the total contract price of the church which amounts to Php12,500, non-refundable. So no backing out.. ahahaha! The church assistant also d...

In scouting for a church

We already have  a wedding date. Now what? Prepare to scout for a church. But before that, me and my howe set a few criteria in what church should we consider. Below are the things we considered in choosing the right church: Easy to locate.  Spacious parking lots. We do not  want to give our guests  a hard time finding their way to the church. We want it to be convenient as possible. Cheers,

The Wedding Date

The wedding date. My howe decided what month we will get married  and he chose the month of December 2011. Because his younger sister will come home from Canada. He wanted his whole family to be present on our very special day. So sweet. I wish, my family will all be present too. Anyhow, back to the topic. My howe wanted the wedding date to be the same as my birthday. But I push back.. ahahaha! The reason, I don't want to celebrate our wedding anniversary on my birthday. OK so, lets move on. His cousin suggested to let our wedding date be feng shui-d. So our wedding date is on December 11, 2011 which is based from our birth date and time.  The next step is to scout for the church. Cheers,

A Soon to be Bride

I'm getting married this year. Our dear Lord really loves to surprise us, His children. I'm very thankful and i feel so blessed because He answered my prayers. I really thought I'm going to be single forever. Unexpectedly, my howe came into my life and the rest is history.. ahahhaa! I contemplate with myself and realize that this formula really works. PRAY, BELIEVE, TRUST and WAIT .. our loving Lord will answer it! ;) Cheers,
